Country Air Properties History Time Line
1980 - Susan Fusco starts Country Air Properties at Lampson Field Airport, Lakeport
1981 - New branch opens in Downtown Lakeport.
1983 - Spence Hiatt, owner / broker of Burnes - Hiatt Realty in Soda Bay merges with
Fusco. Airport office closes. Lakeport office moves to 901 S. Main St. to serve
with Soda Bay office.
1985 - Phil Smoley and Irene Rivas come to work as new agents. Hiatt serves as
President of the Board of Realtors.
1986 - Fusco moves to Sonoma County, Hiatt buys her out.
1989 - Hiatt moves to Sonoma County, Smoley begins to manage company.
1990 - Hiatt sells company to Smoley.
1991 - Lakeport office is moved to 995 S. Main St. making it the largest
real estate office in Lake County.
1991 - Country Air becomes the top selling brokerage in Lakeport and
Kelseyville.
1992 - Country Air buys Riviera Land & Home, closes Soda Bay office. Branches
opened in Upper Lake and Middletown. Smoley serves as President of the
Board of Realtors.
1993 - Country Air becomes the top selling brokerage in western Lake County.
1994 - Upper Lake and Middletown branches closed.
1995 - Property Management Department unveiled. Country Air buys Bill Johns Realty
office on Cobb Mountain. Country Air affiliates with Creative Property Services
(CPS). Lakeport office is moved to 808 Lakeport Blvd., remaining Lake County's
largest.
1996 - "Seller Guarantee" is announced, insuring superior customer service. CPS
Country Air becomes top selling brokerage in all of Lake County.
2000 - CPS Country Air buys North Shore Realty in Lucerne, becoming it's fourth office.
Irene Rivas is recognized as Lake County's top selling Realtor-Associate in the
90's.
2001 - CPS Country Air is recognized as the top selling Lake County brokerage over
the last five years, and having 8 of the top selling 25 Realtor Associates in Lake
County in 2000, including 3 of the top 5. CPS Country Air's unique staff-agent
program highlighted in "California Real Estate" magazine. Country Air Property
Maintenance Division is created.
2002 - Irene Rivas recognized in April's "California Real Estate" with a full page spread.
